MULTI AWARD-WINNING CREATIVE DIRECTOR & EXECUTIVE PRODUCER
Bea Ballard is a multi Emmy and BAFTA award-winning television producer, format creator, and entertainment executive.
She founded production company Unlimited Dreams to develop and produce programming for UK and international broadcasters and channels. She is the Executive Producer of leading weekly talk and entertainment series, The Jonathan Ross Show, broadcast on ITV on Saturday nights.
A former Creative Head of BBC Entertainment, she has been responsible for some of Britain’s biggest hit shows and formats. Her accomplishments include creating and Executive Producing Emmy award-winning talent show format How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria, and its successor Any Dream Will Do.
She helped bring back to the screen, and Executive Produced, eleven series of legendary and multi-award winning talk show Parkinson.
Bea has also worked extensively across the comedy entertainment genre. She devised hit series The Two Ronnies Sketchbook with Ronnie Barker and Ronnie Corbett – the highest rating comedy entertainment format of its year.
She also developed and produced artist event specials – including BAFTA Tributes to Victoria Wood, Billy Connolly, Ronnie Barker, and Judi Dench, plus high-profile music specials including the Montreux award-winning One Night With Robbie Williams, One Night With Rod Stewart and Elton John at the Royal Opera House.
Whilst at the BBC, Bea oversaw the BBC’s Eurovision programming, and also The Royal Variety Show.
Bea is co-owner and literary executor of the J.G.Ballard Estate. She manages the continuing publication internationally of her father’s work and the development and production of film and television adaptations of his novels and short stories. She believes passionately in bringing her father’s work to as wide an audience as possible.
